The Guardian
Ash is a Livestock Guardian Dog, a working dog trained to keep our residents safe.
He is an Anatolian Shepherd
His breed has been protecting animals for 6,000 years
He is nocturnal. He sleeps inside during the day and patrols the property at night
He is not in danger from coyotes (though we fear for any coyote foolish enough to get close)
He is fiercely loyal to his herd and his family and not trusting of strange humans or dogs
He thinks Bailey Road is part of his territory… sorry
